BANKRUPTCY & CREDITORS’ RIGHTS
Our bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice includes representation of debtors, trustees, indenture trustees, governmental agencies, local taxing authorities, institutional and trade creditors, secured creditors, buyers and sellers of distressed businesses. Consistent with the international nature of much of the Firm’s practice, we have experience of bankruptcy and restructuring matters involving assets in various jurisdictions (foreign and domestic) and involving complex issues of conflicts of law and jurisdiction.

CIVIL & BUSINESS LAW
We assist businessmen to form their business activities within the framework of current laws and regulations, assist establishing companies and individual business entities, drafting of articles of associations or modifications thereof, and facilitate registration of business entities to the competent authorities. We also assist formulation and setting up of joint ventures in accordance with the prevailing laws and governing regulations, drafting contractual procedures for commercial and civil activities as well as notarization of related legal activities.

COMPANY & COMMERCIAL LAW
We conduct all legal matters affecting companies covering a wide range of legal activities such as formation, registration, reconstruction, mergers & acquisitions, sales and re-capitalization. We can assist in the registration of trademarks as well as registration and protection of intellectual property and patent rights. We also assist in legal interpretation and negotiation of transfer of technology agreements, franchising license rights, and commercial distributorship agencies, handling litigation concerning banking and insurance sectors and conducting arbitration procedures both on the domestic, regional and international level.

DOMESTIC SECURITIES & FINANCE
Our firm has long participated in the government, public and private capital markets activities on behalf of domestic issuers, underwriters, borrowers and lenders in connection with a broad spectrum of transactions. These include registered public offerings, foreign offerings under the subsequent international rules. In addition, our firm engages in the general representation of both public & private companies, including preparation of periodic reports under the governing rules of the Securities Exchange Commission. We also represent broker-dealers and securities investors in a variety of case issues.

Our firm's environmental practice covers all aspects of environmental law, from performing due diligence in business transactions to advising clients regarding hazardous waste, water, air, health and safety, disposal, permitting issues, enforcement matters, negotiations with state and federal agencies, defense in civil and criminal cases, advice on compliance, environmental consultants. The environmental practice complements the firm’s international, corporate, litigation, admiralty and real estate departments, effective representation can be provided to clients in real estate transactions, toxic tort matters, superfund litigation, civil & criminal enforcement and divestitures and acquisitions issues.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
We provide a wide range of services in the protection of proprietary rights in trade secrets, technology, patents, software, literary and artistic works, copyrights and trademarks. Its resources include a computerized docketing system as well as access to on-line services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and worldwide, allowing it to provide rapid, comprehensive and cost-effective service and advice in the creation, protection and maintenance of international trademark portfolios.

INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION
We are highly experienced in all aspects of international commercial arbitration, representing private parties, states and state trading entities, and international organizations. Our experience includes both the conduct of arbitrations and participation in proceedings for the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in domestic courts. Arbitral proceedings handled by the firm have included disputes involving a broad range of commercial contracts, including international petroleum contracts, construction contracts, and acquisition and joint ventures agreements. In addition, our attorneys & counselor-at-laws have served as arbitrators of various arbitral tribunals, and have lectured extensively on international arbitration at universities, conferences, and training seminars for practitioners in arbitration.

INTERNATIONAL PETROLEUM
We have extensive experience in matters relating to the international petroleum and petrochemical industries in the Middle East, specifically in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its practice encompasses the full range of corporate and regulatory matters affecting the petroleum sector, including trade, privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, debt and equity financings, tax, admiralty, environmental regulation, intellectual property, international litigation and arbitration.

Our experience in this area includes the representation of governmental entities as well as private parties bidding for assets in privatization processes. Scope of work in cases in which the firm has acted include the structuring of the privatization process, drafting of all documents relating to the privatization, including bidding rules, legal administration of the process, coordination of the activities of the overall privatization team.

TRANSPORTATION
The firm has been actively involved in a wide variety of transportation-related transactions involving ports, vessels, railroads, highways and airports, including privatizations, project finance transactions and transnational joint ventures.

TRUSTS & ESTATES
Our practice includes trust and estate administration, domestic and international tax and estate planning, and dispute resolution.

WATER
We have extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of water resource concessions and associated land lease agreements. The firm has served as legal consultant to a governmental agency in connection with the privatization and development of potable groundwater reserves, including a supply and distribution systems. Legal services for the project involved development of bid evaluation criteria, drafting of project agreements, and negotiations to financial close. A regulatory framework and regime for the water sector of the applicable concession area, including various options and comparative studies with the utility and water regulations in other countries, were also drafted.

INTERNET CRIMES & LAWS
We advise on all aspects - registration and protection of domain names, resolving domain name disputes, setting up wesites (including website development agreemnets for the necessary IT. Our clients range from internet start-ups, needing advice on confidentiality agreements and intellectual property protection for their ideas and consumer protection and licensing issues

WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION IMPLEMENTATION
Despite the many positive effects of globalization, cases that built on World Trade Organization rules and laws.
